Ingredients

  • 10 ounces fresh baby spinach
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2-3 dashes cayenne pepper or hot Hungarian paprika (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the grill to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (by turning the burners of your propane grill to medium heat).
  • Add spinach to a large sheet pan. Drizzle the spinach with oil (olive or canola).
  • Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and cayenne pepper (optional) over the spinach.
  • Toss to combine. You want to keep tossing until the oil and seasonings are fairly evenly distributed, but don’t worry about coating every leaf.
  • Put the sheet pan of spinach on the grill and cover. Cook for 3-4 minutes and immediately remove from the grill.
  • Serve immediately. If you leave the foil covering the spinach it will continue to cook, so I recommend uncovering and serving immediately.
